Judson College equine student Katie Beeman, Jackson, was named the 2012 Miss SLE Rodeo Queen on March 9.

The rodeo was part of the Southeastern Livestock Exposition (SLE) and Rodeo in Montgomery March 7-9. Contestants were judged on appearance, personality and horsemanship. 

According to Judson Equine Coach Jennifer Hoggle, Beeman will be an ambassador to support and promote the Alabama beef cattle industry and the SLE rodeo. 

Beeman plans on a career in criminal justice. She is the daughter of Vickie Beeman of Jackson.
