Happy
Halloween!!!

 Frozen Delight

1 box ice cream sandwiches, 12 count
Chocolate syrup
1 small tub whipped topping
Nuts, chopped

Place unwrapped sandwiches side by side in a 9x13-inch glass dish. Spread entire tub of whipped topping evenly over sandwiches. Squirt syrup over the whipped topping --- as much as you want! Sprinkle with nuts.

Be creative with this dish. Add as much or as little of the ingredients as you desire. Add other ingredients if you want! This simple dish is delicious!!!!

Popcorn Balls

4 quarts popcorn, popped
1 cup maple syrup 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons butter 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped

Place popcorn in large buttered container. In large saucepan bring the maple syrup, salt, sugar and butter to a boil. Stir constantly, as this is very apt to boil over. Reduce heat and let boil gently until a small amount tested in cold water forms medium-hard ball. Remove from heat; allow to cool for 2 minutes, then beat in lemon extract and nuts. Pour over popcorn and stir as much as you can. When cool enough to handle, butter your hands and shape into balls. Place on waxed paper and allow to cool before wrapping in plastic wrap and refrigerating.

We didn’t get any recipes for this month. So, since it’s Halloween, here are some fun treats from Southern And Then Some!

The counties selected for November: Elmore, Limestone and Talladega. If you have any recipes (yes, you can send more than one!) that you would like to see in the Cooperative Farming News, please send them to us. Even if you are not from one of these counties, send us your Thanksgiving specialty. We need to receive them by the 15th of each month. If you e-mail them, please include a mailing address. This will let us know where to send the cookbook should you win. Also, please include which Co-op you shop at.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
