Alabama Farmers Cooperative Feed Department is pleased
to introduce a new and improved horse feed line designed to meet the
nutritional demands of horses in the southeast.
David
Riggs, Feed Director, stated that he believes the new horse feed lines and
bags will help consumers to better meet the nutritional needs of their
horses. The bags will provide valuable information about the product
helping horse owners to select the right product for their horse. The new
feeds will better meet the nutritional needs of horses during certain
stages of production so that they can perform at their highest level.
The
new feed lines will be as follows:

Horizon Excel will be a textured sweet feed line in a red bag designed for
pasture and performance horses. The feeds in this line will include Excel
10, Excel 12, and Excel 14.

Horizon Champions Choice line will be a pelleted feed in a blue bag
designed for all stages of production. This line will include Champions
Choice 12, Champions Choice 14, Champions Choice 16 and Champions Choice
32% Concentrate.

Horizon All-Grain will be a sweet all-grain horse feed in a gold bag
designed for consumers who prefer all-grain feeds. This line includes
Horizon All-Grain Maintenance and All-Grain Performance.
*Horizon
Mare & Foal line will be a textured feed in a green bag specifically
formulated for the mare & foal. This line will include Horizon Mare
& Foal 14 and Horizon Mare & Foal 16.
*
The final line of horse feed to be included in our new product line will
be Horizon Senior. This feed will be in an orange bag and is a pelleted
feed designed for senior horses that demand a highly nutritional/highly
digestible feed.
