Chuck and Brian
Sheppard will be continuing their discussion on the art of growing
summer foods plots. This topic is of such interest to wildlife managers
throughout the state that two weeks (Episode 9: September 27 and 28) will
be devoted to the subject.

7: September 13 and 14
Come watch lead
fly as Jim goes to Geneva County to visit an "Old West" town a
family has built to re-enact good guy/bad guy cowboy shootouts. Grace
visits with the Shropshire children from Chilton County. Blake, Austin
and Kayla show viewers the importance of working together to achieve
their agricultural goals.
Chuck and his
videographer Casey Shoopman travel to Illinois this week in search of
big Mid-West butter-balls. Casey harvests his largest turkey to
date. He and Chuck explain how to properly document the occasion with
photos.
Episode 8: September 20
and 21
Jim goes to the
rolling hills of North-Central Alabama to visit Randal Wilson at his
White Oak Vineyard. The whole place smells like grape juice!
Grace makes her
way to South Alabama where she meets with former state FFA officer,
Brandon Smith. This Auburn University freshman shows us around his
Geneva County farm and gives us a perspective of balancing his
education, leadership activities and farm responsibilities.
While still in
Illinois turkey hunting, Chuck explains how data gained from shed
antlers found in your hunting area can be extremely beneficial not only
to hunters, but to land managers as
well.

and 28
Mountain climber,
Larry Leslie, takes Jim along as he demonstrates rappelling from the
beautiful cliffs and giant boulders found at Cherokee Rock Village in
Cherokee County.
Grace heads back
to her home town to visit with one talented 10-year-old. Wyatt Lockhart
shows viewers his remarkable photography and takes us on a tour of his
family’s historical homeplace.
Chuck is back in
Alabama this week discussing the benefits of planting food plots on
powerline or pipeline rights-of-way.

and 5
Jim visits Jerry
and Wanda Sanders at their Alabama Peanuts and Pacas Farm near Ozark where
you’ll meet some wonderful, llama-related alpacas the Sanders raise.
Grace takes us to
Auburn University where we take a closer look at the State FFA Contests. These
Career Development Events (CDE) feature students involved in a variety of
agricultural activities like Livestock Evaluation, Parliamentary Procedure and
Ag Construction.
Chuck and David Beall,
The Management Advantage Consulting Service, discuss a piping system used for
water control in fish ponds. This siphon system is revolutionizing water
control in the pond and lake industry.
