Alabama’s
annual Farmers Market Day to be held Saturday, July 12, 2008, will give
local farmers an opportunity to display their best homegrown produce and
flowers while providing tons of fun for everybody. Among the many
exciting events planned are a Watermelon Eatin’ Contest and a Corn
Shuckin’ Contest. All events will be at the Montgomery State Farmers
Market on Federal Drive next to Garrett Coliseum. Farmers Market Day
will offer something exciting for everyone to enjoy so get there early
to find the best selection of your favorite fruits and vegetables.
Farmers Market Day is a joint effort of the Alabama Cooperative
Extension System, the Alabama Farmers Federation and the Alabama
