A
contestant meeting was held afterwards with Glenn discussing upcoming
events and ways to make the contest more enjoyable for everyone. The
date for the next event is July 31, 2008 at Martin Arena in Mount Hope
with the action beginning at 3 p.m. Participants should be there early
to get entered, for the contestant’s meeting and walk through, which
will be at 2:30 p.m. A training demo with Glenn will be held during
intermission along with a short seminar on equine nutrition and health
presented by Alabama Farmers Cooperative.
This
event is sponsored by Franklin County Cooperative. Karen Linker,
manager, has also donated the year-end champion buckle to be given at
the last event.
Two
additional events are planned for later with place and date to be
announced. The last event will include the final championship round and
presentation of prizes.
Trail
riding covers a large portion of equine activities and Extreme Trail
Horse Productions hopes to add to the enjoyment trail riders receive
from their equine friends and maybe bragging rights along the way. How
trail worthy is your horse? Try extreme trail competition and see if
your horse has what it takes. You and your horse will have fun and it
will only make your horse better, not to mention all the new friends you
will meet. This is a fun event the whole family can compete in and spend
an enjoyable Saturday together.
Your
local Quality Co-op supports trail riding with everything you need for
horse and rider from a full-line of equine feeds, health products and
tack for your horse to boots and jeans for you. You will also find
information on gardening, fencing, pastures and other topics from a
helpful employee who appreciates your business.
